Landscape fans have plenty of time to feed their passion at the Ruthven Gallery's Summer Exhibition in Auchterarder. Running until September 10, Northumberland-based artist Robert Newton and Scottish colourist Cara Mckinnon Crawford will show a collection of striking new work. Newton's powerful canvases are both expressive and bold, encompassing sweeping broad brushstrokes and demonstrating a vibrant imagination for colour and composition. Using the River Clyde as her subject matter, Mckinnon has produced around 200 paintings, capturing the different aspects of this famous waterway.
